Pastured Poultry & Eggs

The price for our whole chicken is $4.50/lb, and our chickens average about 5lbs.

All of our chicks are raised inside in a brooder until they have developed enough feathers to weather the outdoors. Once outside, they are moved each morning to fresh green grass in chicken tractors (mobile chicken coops). The space that our chickens have in their brooders and chicken tractors exceeds organic standards.

Our chickens are fed non-GMO chicken feed, milled locally in Schaghticoke, NY. Our laying hens and broilers are given separate feed, specifically formulated to meet their nutritional needs at each stage of their lives.

We raise our meat chickens in small batches of 60 at a time and presell the meat before processing. We choose to process on our farm to reduce the stress on the chickens of driving them to an off-farm processing facility. Our laying hens move 1-2 times per week on pasture in our egg mobile. Our 2 flocks are each given about 1,600 square feet of pasture each time they’re moved, giving them plenty of space to eat grasses, clovers, bugs, and slugs. Eggs are available for purchase in our virtual farmers market year round.
